This month we will have lots of materials on hand for you to make a 2 or 3 fun tie pins or brooches using kilt pins, safety pins and back pins.

Teen Activity Kits – Friendship Bracelets

Teen Activity Kits are take-home kits that feature a different craft or activity each month!

Just in time for the end of the school year, get supplies & instructions to make Friendship Bracelets to give to your besties for the summer.  Get reading recs from your Youth Librarian & tasty treats, too!

Register by Wednesday, May 14.  Pick up kits the week of May 19.

Paws for Reading – Get a Free Book!

Come meet our Paws for Reading pal, Milo, and his human Sue!

Join us Monday, May 5 at 4 pm in the Children’s Library and practice reading with Milo.

Milo is bringing picture books and chapter books. Pick up your free book!

 

Kids in the Kitchen – Ages 6-12 – Strawberry Shortcake

Kids in the Kitchen – Strawberry Shortcake!

We will make and bake sweet biscuits, then top them with strawberries and whipped cream.

This program will have wheat and dairy. Parents of younger children need to stay to help with reading directions and measuring.

Teen Tuesdays: GET CREATIVE!

Teen Tuesdays alternate between GET CREATIVE!, where we’ll explore different kinds of art & crafts, and GET COOKING!, where we’ll make tasty food and treats, and explore cooking skills.

In May, we’ll learn how to create Zentangle art!  Zentangle is a relaxing, even meditative, art form where you create intricate designs using repetitive, structured patterns on paper.

Tuesday evening, May 13th, 6:30 – 7:30.  Register now to save your spot!

For teens ages 12 – 18.
