Getting Started with Libby
Libby is the sister app to OverDrive and accesses the same catalog. However, some patrons find Libby’s simplistic design and app to be easier to use than OverDrive. To get started with Libby, all you need is your library card and pin number.
Step 1
Install the Libby app from your device's app store.
Apple App Store
Google Play
Or, visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge (Chromium) browser.
Step 2
In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a library card.

Step 3
Browse your library's catalog and borrow a title.
Step 4
Borrowed titles appear under Shelf > Loans and download to the app automatically when you're connected to Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you're offline.
From your Loans, you can:
-
- Tap Read With... to choose where you'd like to read the book (Kindle or Libby), then finish sending to Kindle or start reading in Libby.
-
- Tap Open Audiobook to start reading or listening to that title.
-
- Tap Manage Loan to see options like Renew and Return.
Happy reading!

What is Kids Mode?
hoopla Kids Mode is a multi-format, digital media experience designed especially for kids (up to age 12). All of the content—movies, TV shows, music, audiobooks, eBooks, and comics—has been curated and brought together in this one family-friendly place.
Kids Mode is a feature that should be used with parental guidance. Parents or guardians are expected to decide whether a specific title is appropriate for their child.
How do I activate Kids Mode?
To use Kids Mode, tap or click the KIDS icon at the top of the page, which will direct you to the Settings page and a pop-up screen. On the pop-up, you are given the option to either require a PIN to unlock Kids Mode, or turn Kids Mode on without a PIN.
The PIN can be any combination of four digits. Each device you use will need to be set up individually to require a PIN, however, it does not need to be unique for each device. If you forget your PIN, simply tap the Forgot your PIN? link and you will receive your PIN in an email
